A Flydubai flight that took off from Dubai- and was supposed to land in Tel Aviv, Israel- instead ended up landing at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia.
What happened in between was nothing but a dramatic mayhem that not only left its passengers and crew panicking for their lives– but also left the rest of the world with a whole lot of questions, confusion, drama and fear.
Hours after the incident, multiple videos from onboard the flight have surfaced, further sending shivers down everyone’s spine.
Flydubai flight FZ1073, which was flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv with around 180 people on board, ended up dropping 14,125 feet in just 29 seconds, according to flight-tracking data. If that sounds scary enough, wait till you read about the international emergency codes that the flight transmitted shortly after take-off.
Reportedly, the flight transmitted the international emergency code 7700 before briefly switching to 7500, the code used to indicate unlawful interference or a possible hijacking.
The exact reason behind the drama is yet to be confirmed, as several versions of the incident have emerged. The flight, meanwhile, eventually landed safely at Tabuk Airport, bringing the immediate crisis to an end.
