A day before the one-month anniversary of Presley’s death, mother Cindy and sister Kaia both returned to social media to post poignant tributes to the late 27-year-old model. Cindy shared an official family statement with a black and white photo of Presley. She stated that they were “beyond heartbroken” by the loss of Presley and they were blessed to have him for 27 years.
She wrote, “He is a sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever. We are so proud of how he showed up in the world, with kindness and vulnerability. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from so many who know and love our family and even strangers who feel our pain.”
Kaia Gerber pays tribute to older brother Presley
Meanwhile, Kaia, who is two years younger, posted a heartbreaking tribute to her older brother, stating, “I love you the bluest, to the moon and back and back again, forever big brother.” In a long letter written to her brother “Prez”, Kaia revealed that she was at a loss for words. Stating that she loved being his sister, Kaia wrote, “I had more love for you than I knew what do with and not that it has nowhere to obvious to go, I’m certain it’s going to swallow me whole.”
She went on to add that she was learning to love him when she could not see him and be a sister in a world that she couldn’t reach him in. But in the end she would choose it all over again if she got to be his sister again. Calling Presley her “best buddy” and “great protector”, she thanked him for being there. The actress also posted a brief clip and a photo of the duo as small children.
