Jemimah Rodrigues gave the world another reason to believe in the power of manifestation as she shared a year-old message from her new Delhi Capitals (DC) teammate Nazma Khan after the 2027 Women’s Premier League (WPL) Auction took place at Kochi on Wednesday (October 28) in Kochi. The Capitals’ captain claimed she went to send a direct message (DM) to Nazma on Instagram but found out that the young cricketer had predicted they would be teammates a year ago.
For those unversed, Nazma secured her first-ever WPL contract after the Delhi-based franchise signed her for her base price of just ₹10 Lakhs. The 30-year-old is an all-rounder who plays her domestic cricket for Delhi. She is a right-handed batter and also bowls off-spin.
Nazma’s Manifestation Turns Real
In the message, Nazma wrote to Jemimah that while she was sure the Indian cricket star was not going to see the message at that time, she was sure that one day the two players would share the same platform and the duo will bat together.
“I know you won’t even see this message but one day i’ll going to share the same platform with you and will be doing batting with you and will going to make our team win and i’ll make you open your instagram to show you this message,” Nazma wrote in her message.
“Opened Instagram just now to text Nazma and stumbled upon a message from her a year ago. One year later, the manifestation is real. Welcome to the family,” Jemimah wrote while posting the screenshot of the message.
Interestingly, the message was sent on 30th October 2025 at 10:52 PM IST, which was just minutes after India defeated Australia in the 2025 Women’s World Cup semi-final at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on their way to the historic triumph.
Jemimah was the star of the victory over the defending champions with a remarkable unbeaten knock of 127 runs off 134 balls as the Women in Blue completed a world-record run chase of 339.
Meanwhile, a day after Nazma was signed by the Capitals, she was part of the Delhi Women’s cricket team that created history in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy by posting a world-record score of 262 (the highest team total in Women’s T20) during a 108-run victory.
