In the promo shared by the makers, Rohit Raj Goyal explained how he became the ‘Aashiq’ (lover) of Deepika Singh. He truly loves Deepika for the way she is. The director explained how Deepika accepted a person like him, who stays in a joint family setup.
Rohit said, “Deepika accepted my mother, father, brother, sister-in-law and others. My father is a specially abled person. He is like a kid. She accepted him the way he is. She talks to him and takes care of him.”
Rohit Raj Goyal got emotional while speaking about it. He also recalled how people predicted that his father’s kids would not be able to get married due to his condition. “Humare dad ko dekhke log yeh bolte the ki inke bachon ki shaadi bhi nahi hogi. Pata nahi kahan bhik mangenge. Jis din hamari shaadi hui thi, uss din bahut log aaye the bas hamari shaadi dekhne. This is only because of her.” The Diya Aur Baati Hum director hugged the actress and thanked her for everything.
